wrote this a few months back
so i realize its 11:30 and that tomorrows a school day
and that i have homework that i haven’t done and there are three tests tomorrow
and i realize that i have assignments and applications late and that i’ve been too greedy lately
and i realize that i am privileged and blessed and should be more greatful whatever blah blah blah
what you don’t realize is the pace my mind travels at on nights like these
where i’m inspired, so they call it, and during these nights i notice the bruise on my left leg
and how i completely forgot to call her back last fall, and ohh, thats what started the fight
and i think think think think,
during these nights
and come to a conclusion of my desire
to be a wallflower
to let it all blow past and have absolutely no one notice
and to drive through tunnels in trucks singing at the top of my lungs and to tell him i love him
and my desire to just be free and to be the dreamer i want to be
but then, during these nights, i realize the
cut-throat realistic life i live can never ever be the way i dream it to be
and i set my head back on my pillow and drift away so i can temporarily
be in ignorant bliss of believing my dreams are able to come true

just finished my application & essay for a scholarship to summer fashion college in nyc!! wish me luck, it’s going in the mail TOMORROW! <3
